Hot Water Systems
Solar Hot Water Systems
Solar system use the suns energy to heat water which is much better for the environment than conventional systems. Solar systems attract RECs and Government Rebates.
These units are generally the cheapest systems to run but can incur a higher initial installation cost. Most systems average payback period is around 6 years. The majority of units come with either a gas or electric backup for times when there is little sun. Solar systems have collectors on the roof which are attached to a tank, either on the ground, or on the roof. A lot of people prefer to store the tank on the ground to maintain a clean roof line.
